Lifespan AI at AI in Health

The “Bremen Symposium AI in Health” took place for the fourth time. On November 27, 2025, around 120 participants from the fields of science, medicine, technology, nursing, business, politics, and society gathered at the Radisson Blu Hotel Bremen to discuss the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in all areas of healthcare—from prevention and screening to diagnosis and therapy to rehabilitation and nursing. Lifespan AI was there and played an active role in many areas.

Prof. Dr. Marvin Wright was co-chair of the session “From Prevention to Screening.” This session was dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in health research – from prevention to screening. The focus was on the possibilities and limitations of AI-supported methods for risk assessment and early detection of diseases, as well as their integration into research and practice.

Prof. Dr. Horst Karl Hahn was co-chair of the session “From Screening to Diagnosis.” Clinical pathology is undergoing a veritable revolution thanks to AI: high-resolution digital preparations generate immense amounts of data – with insights beyond the limits of human perception. The session showed how AI is already accelerating and refining early detection and diagnostics – and where the journey is headed. The focus was on how diagnostics and early detection are changing, using the example of prostate cancer, and which framework conditions in Germany still need to be strengthened.

The evening event “Biosignals meet Health & Care” was opened by Prof. Dr. Tanja Schultz as co-chair of the event.
