The members of Lifespan AI gathered on June 25, 2024, at the Summer Event at Fraunhofer MEVIS in Bremen for a full-day workshop. All projects presented their latest findings and discussed the most exciting insights. Through various discussion rounds and working sessions, current research topics were explored in depth and methodological approaches were further developed. In particular, the doctoral students had the opportunity to receive detailed feedback from the group and further develop their research. The open and collaborative atmosphere fostered not only professional dialogue but also networking across disciplinary and subproject boundaries. Another central topic was the Lifespan AI Server, which provides all members of the research group with access to important data and can be used for training models. Researchers from the team gave a brief tutorial on its use and demonstrated the benefits of the shared data infrastructure. The highly productive session was rounded off in the late afternoon with team-building activities at a mini-golf course and a joint dinner to conclude the day.
